In today's marketplace, there are many types of websites —but you need one that’s right for You and Your business or organization. That’s where a website designer can save the day! I can help you build the perfect website from scratch, or help you update the one you already have.

A strong website is not just about great design, it’s also about:

What I Do:

  • I meet with you and your team to determine how you use your website and what you want to achieve. We will discuss your marketing goals, your audience, your design concepts, and all your brand materials.

  • Next, I provide a simple and inexpensive solution for a website that will be easy for you to maintain on your own, or I can offer ongoing services to maintain it for you.

  • Next, I build or redesign your website. Providing the written content and design elements as needed.

  • I can also assist with photography and/or video for your website.

  • Finally, I will do all the initial SEO and set your website up with Google Analytics so you can monitor your website's performance moving forward.

What I Don't Do:

  • I am not a developer, I am a designer and specialize in marketing. I don't work with elaborate code that makes it impossible for you to change or edit your website on your own. I use coding to provide the design and functionality you require, but everything is geared towards simplicity and usability - for the user and your business.

  • I typically stay away from Word Press websites. I can edit and work within a Word Press site on your behalf, but when designing a website I use Squarespace as my preferred platform. My goal is to provide you with a website you can edit yourself without 'breaking it.’ Your website should be inexpensive to maintain and meet all your marketing needs.

Building and Implementing Content for Your Website:

As we determine how you will use your website and what you need it to convey, we will also determine the content. Search engines read words, which makes the words on your website very important.

Additionally, the colors, fonts, images, and overall look of your website need to reflect Who You Are and What You Do.

Finally, your website needs to be directed to your specific audience. Helping you understand who your audience is and what you want them to do when they get to your site, plays a big part in the design.

The Process:

Website Creation begins with an in-depth conversation where we get down to everything that matters to you and how you want your business to be represented. There is no charge for this conversation, but if we decide to work together, we will revisit it many times. If you decide to book my services after this conversation, you will need to commit to a non-refundable deposit of $500, which means we’ve agreed to Begin! Next, we’ll get into the strategy. We’ll start with a questionnaire about your target audience, your competitors, your goals, colors, images, ideas, and concepts. Together we’ll review all the data to create a strategic plan for moving forward (including budget and time expectations) and sign a contract (NDA provided upon request).

Next, I present a full design concept/strategy, including (but not limited to) storyboards, design suggestions, and website structure. If we’re in agreement on the direction, a deposit will be required to start the work (50% of the estimated final budget, minus the $500 commitment deposit). Final payment is due upon full completion, which includes (but is not limited to) a fully operational, SEO-driven website, all content creation, brand materials (logo, colors, fonts), social media platform creation, Google Analytic set-up, and a customized marketing strategy road map. Annual hosting and domain charges will be the client’s responsibility once the project is complete. I prefer Squarespace for my hosting platform. Fees for hosting on Squarespace can be found here.
